Eliminating senior director HR Bhargava from the chairman post of 2008-2009 state award committee and making way for actor, BJP politician and MLC Srinath has kicked up a row.

First of all from last two months of announcement of the panel to look in to 74 Kannada films the committee was sleeping with just one meeting. As Bharagava was away in USA the state government waited for two months but now to give a gate pass. Why?

Secondly in appointing the politician Srinath as chairman the problem arises as films like Josh and Gange Baare Thunge Baare the actor is part of the films and there might be some more to the list.

In the last state film award panel Srinath elder brother CR Simha walked out announcing his resignation because he has acted in Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar’s ‘Mathad Mathad Mallige’. In fact CR Simha set an example. Now what his brother going to do?

On the day of arrival to Bangalore Bhargava will see the ouster of him from the State award panel is pathetic to know.

The other committee members like journalist Babu Dinakara, D Rajendra Babu, KV Raju, HN Maruthi, Banandur Kempaiah, Rajesh senior actor, cameraman BS Basavaraj and Sujatha Paramashivaiah are unaware of this development.

The award committee of 2008-2009 has a tough task to see 74 films. The award for panel for 2009-2010 has still further task as the number of films would increase further.
